Vacation in Oregon

Last week we spent some much needed time in Oregon visiting friends and family. Peyton enjoyed many "firsts." We went to the lake, wear Peyton got to sport a life jacket and swim in the lake. We also went to the beach to visit our friend Jeff. Oh, and Peyton started walking everywhere! We had so much fun. I got to do a lot of crafting with my sister-in-law Elizabeth.

Peyton enjoyed watching the firworks...we caught her gazing off into the distance...

We had a great 4th of July at Paul's sister's house. Their place overlooks Vancouver, Portland, and the Columbia River. What a spectacular view for fireworks. Peyton was able to stand and enjoy the fireworks from the balcony. We are so blessed to have two different families who love and care about each other. We got to spend the 4th with all of Paul's family and mine as well. Paul's family is always so welcoming in allowing my family to tag along. We love it!

More pics! ( :

Peyton attended her cousin's "princess birthday party," she definately dressed the part.
Great grandma got Peyton her first cell phone...let the fun begin!

Peyton sitting on the couch with daddy while he does school work...she always seems to be smiling! (I don't mind those picture opportunities.)

Life is busy but great!

Peyton is almost eight months old. I can hardly believe how time is flying. She is starting to enjoy some yummy vegatables and is army crawling all over the place (not quite up on her knees yet). Paul and I are both going to school to earn our masters of professional counseling and working full time. We are loving life, but continue to stay busy.

Five Generations

When Peyton was about 4 weeks old, we were able to go and visit GREAT GREAT Grandma along with Great Grandma, Grandma, and mommy. We were sure to get as many pictures as we could. Peyton is prett lucky to have three generetions of gradparents around to see just how cute she is!

Sleep, Sleep, Sleep!

I can't believe I am saying this, but Peyton is about 10 weeks and just had her second 8 hour night in a row. She has consistently been sleeping for about 7 hours but we are feeling very blessed for the eight hours the last two nights (for any new moms I definitely recommend the book: ("On Becoming Baby Wise"). As soon as we started doing the routine in the book, she started sleeping through the night. What a blessing!

Pumpkin Patch

We made a special trip down to Beaverton to visit Aunt Lizzie and Uncle Dan. They took us to the apple farm and pumpkin patch. We couldn't pass up pictures of Peyton next to the pumpkins. We had fun taking fall family pictures!
